Rcade was created by IRI, a research company that advises manufacturers and retailers in various industries on what products to market and sell. Our advice is based on anonymized, aggregated data provided by stores and venues, and by consumers just like you.
IRI respects your privacy and your right to understand how we use your data. We tried to make this Statement of Privacy as simple and clear as possible. Please read the Rcade Statement of Privacy carefully and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
IRI collects data that you submit to us directly via Rcade and associated websites, including email addresses, purchase data, and survey responses. The data that you submit is entirely within your control, and you may choose to not provide certain data where it is not essential to the functionality of the service.
Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable or sensitive data through public message boards (including social media sites, app stores, etc.), this information may be collected and used by others.
New data is generated automatically every time you use Rcade. For example, when you open the application, a log entry is created that indicates your use of the app. Or when you complete an action within the app, that action is recorded (e.g., your game score is recorded so that points may be awarded to your account).
IRI websites use "cookies" to help you personalize your online and mobile experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your device by a web server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your device. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain (e.g., PlayRcade.com) that issued the cookie to you.
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page, so that the page can recall your specific information on subsequent visits.
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, some website features may not function properly.
Data about your mobile device, computer hardware, and software is automatically collected by IRI (as it is with any other app or site). This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses.
IRI uses your data to manage the account(s) that you created with us. For example, we enable you to set up an e-receipt account so that you may to earn rewards by submitting electronic receipts in Rcade.
IRI may send you e-mail notifications or deliver operating system notifications that you request based on your Rcade account settings, or to alert you to important changes in your account. You may opt out of most notifications, other than those critical to maintaining an active account.
By understanding which features are used most/least frequently, are the highest/lowest rated, etc., we are able to make changes to improve your Rcade experience and increase its value to you.
We combine the receipt data of all Rcade users, anonymously, to understand shopping and buying trends in various industries and markets. For example, “People who buy Product X also buy Product Y” or “People who used to buy Product X or Y now buy Product Z.” Manufacturers and retailers respond to these trends by tweaking their products, services, promotions, prices, etc. in an effort to grow their businesses.
IRI does not sell, rent or lease Rcade user lists to third parties. Period.
IRI may share your information, as required, to trusted affiliates who manage in-app surveys or deliver rewards that you earn via Rcade. All such affiliates are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
IRI does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.
IRI will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on IRI; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of IRI; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of IRI applications, or the public.
